Project Description
This ambitious project redeveloped a portion of the former Tri Valley Growers plant into a facility dedicated to capturing and color sorting container glass from various waste streams and producing furnace ready cullet. VVHCE provided project management services and managed a team of design professionals for the full duration of this multi-phase project. Exterior improvements were the focus of the initial phase including concrete surface improvements to support frequent truck traffic, heavy vehicle loading, storage of raw and finished materials. The remaining improvements were made within the footprint of the existing warehouse buildings and included VVHCE coordination of 3D LiDAR interior environment point cloud scanning to accurately locate position of existing framing, roofing, and other building elements. VVHCE aligned the existing warehouse 3D data onto the proposed equipment model to assist with the placement of equipment within the warehouses to avoid physical conflicts.
